Simtable Developing Evacuation Model for City of Santa Fe

Wildfire evacuation is one of the most serious challenges facing the City of Santa Fe. In order to more effectively develop an evacuation plan the Office of Emergency Management will conduct a geospatial agent-based model for analysis using the Simtable.

The study will enable the OEM to understand the volume and flow of traffic from locations in the Wildland Urban Interface. Planners will then be able to establish evacuation zones or “catchments” that will be utilized during a major wildfire.
